I've not done much cooking of my own in the last few days but it was my birthday on Monday and for my present my boyfriend took me to the only Michelin Star restaurant in the North East!! every single mouthful had about a hundred layers of flavour - it was like an explosion on my tastebuds, while simultaneously massaging them. there were seven taster courses, each meticulously crafted and incredibly beautiful. this was the third: sea bass, chicken wing, celeriac purée, toasted chestnuts and chicken sauce.
